The Well Illustrations
CLIENT
The Well at Oxon Run
ROLE
Illustrator
These signs were illustrated in collaboration with the project designer for Oxon Run’s The Well community garden signage. These digital illustrations are painterly, vibrant, and detailed, conveying a rainbow of produce, plants, and critters native to the garden.
When strategizing for this project, we decided that the most efficient illustration method was to create each piece individually. This strategy allowed the assets to function as puzzle pieces, resulting efficiencies in time management and creating collages that could be customized with ease.

MRI Ready Teddy Experience
ROLE
Illustrator
Graphic Designer
CLIENT
Ready Teddy
PURPOSE
This web experience was created in collaboration with Ready Teddy to deliver an accessible narrative that teaches kids about MRI scan. It shares what experiences children can expect in anticipation of receiving an MRI and comes with interactive elements that prep them on what type of clothes to wear, what sort of sounds they will hear, and how to stay still to avoid unnecessary sedation.
RATIONALE
I designed this experience similarly to a webtoon, which merges a vertical scrolling comic book with a web format for accessible viewing. I also used a mixture of real photography/photo-realistic renders and illustration to ensure that the medical spaces were accurate representations of what a child would see.
Disclaimer: this gif format does not capture the actual quality of these illustrated assets.
The narrative takes the user on a journey from home to hospital with the guidance of Ready Teddy’s mascot, Teddy. Teddy leads the user through a character creator, where the user can create themselves or someone else. This serves as a personal aspect to the storytelling experience. The user then heads to the hospital, MRI room, and finally begins a game where the user can practice staying still. This experience is filled with small tips along the way to continue informing the child on what they can expect.
